So Similar....Might Be.... Two of a Kind?

I found some old pics of Kelsi and Alex last night. (yes I was snooping- guilty as charged! Alex, you said I could do anything with what you left behind)

You're in trouble Amy! She's showing some attitude already!

Support Our Troops!

I bought several Support Our Troops magnets to place on vehicles. I ended up with more than I thought. All of us have placed them on our vehicles and I still have a few left. If you would like one, let me know; I will be happy to send one to you.

WOW! THANK YOU!

Wow! A BIG THANKS goes out to the "empty nesters" group in my church! They decided to collect items to send to my son and his fellow solders in Iraq. They also wrote thank-you notes. I try and send a box once a week. This not only meant a lot to me but, I know it means a lot to my son. So, 'empty nesters", I take my hat off to you.

Green Thumbs........

Thanks to Gr Cole and Shaunnas green thumbs, I can have a midnight snack like this!

Yumm......

36 inch snake! Mmmmm.....

We brought home a "gummy" snake for Jordan. Sour apple, Mmmmm...I've always said grandparents get to buy all the cutest clothes and coolest toys and yummiest candy they find. You get them all hyped and sugared up, then you send them home. It's way too much fun being a grandma!

One tiny little...

Alex rescued a tiny little toad from the "pool of death".

HISSSSS...

Alex foundher own little cave. (She may have even hissed at me a few times.)

Hisssss....

We tried to save a bat that didn't want saved. I thought he was dead until he up andhissed at me. We did carefully move him to his own little cave. Jim said the last thing I needed to do was get bitten by a sick bat.

A looong way to the top....

Here is a pic I took while sitting next to the "pool of death"of the top-while Jim was getting ready to repel down again. Yes, they did do it multiple times and I did say THEY, not I. I had hyper-ventilated enough for one day. We all had fun and I think I would like to do it again.

More fun makes for One Perfect Day!

Finally, it was Jim's turn. He went with one of Jake's friends. Also a pro I might add.

WAIT....No, your eyes are not...

WAIT.....No, your eyes are not deceiving you! It is I! Yes I actually did it! I wasn't abt. to climb back down the cliff. The climb up had me hyper-ventilating. I wasn't told part of the climb would be using foot and hand holds! And I didn't ever look down. You see I'm afraid of heights. I had to be tethered away from the edge. And I wouldn't go with anyone but Jake - the pro and all. (Besides I've seen Jim give instructions before!)
Notice how relaxed Jake looks. I think he was actually having fun.

And yes I did make it all the way down, thanks to Jake, without looking or falling into the "pool of death".

Maybe There Was a Scream!

GREAT JOB!!!!

While on our looong trip we went repelling. A hobbie I guess Jake and Paige took up. (Actually Jake is a pro at it and he convinced Paige to join him, although, she says ski diving is funner.) We hiked abt. a mile up with our ropes, harnesses, and carabiners which I never stepped on nor did I let it touch any rocks! (as I was told it might get a nick on it and slice the rope! And that means a looong fall into the "pool of death"! rightly nick named because it was abt. 6 " deep with a rock bottom!
Paige and Alex were the first to go and they did a great job. Alex did freak out a little while they were trying to persuade her to go, but, I don't remember any screaming so GREAT JOB ALEX!!

Paige Can See the Elk Here Everyday!

Just outside of Zion's National Park are some animals you can feed. (If you dare, or can afford the feed) This was one of the Elk we saw. You can buy feed and they will come eat it out of your hand! They were huge! This one still has some velvet on his horns. I was glad Paige insisted that we stop and see them. By the way, they also had buffalo, but, there was a double fence between us. (They like to charge)

Zion's....

Here are some pictures I took at Zion's National Park while visiting Paige and Jake. It was the first time I had been there and it was beautiful! I loved the scenery and the company. Thanks Paige and Jake for having us! (pic of Paige and Jim)

(Alex and Paige)

(Jim, Alex, Jake, and Paige)
They did get very tired of me taking pics of them, so, Paige made me let her take a pic of me. I would've included it but I didn't want to scare anyone! So, instead, I pushed the delete button.

The Looong a-way-ted Trip!

Wow! We took the long "a-way-ted" trek to Idaho to drop off Alex and were treated to an appearance of a Desert Mountain Sheep in Zion's National Park. (yes, I did say the loooong way)
