Cole thinks so...so what!

I never fall for extras at the grocery store! So who knows what possessed me to buy 2 plants there. Maybe I was just in the holiday spirit. The above is some kind of mum and I payed $3.95 for. Cole says I payed $3.95 too much! He thinks it is the most pathetic thing he had ever seen. I had to explain to him why it appealed to me. The red, white, and blue for one. He says there is no such thing as a blue flower. I said, "They are spray painted." He said," Why are they missing pedals. " I said,"They aren't missing pedals. That's the kind of mum they are. They are suppose to look like fireworks." And he just laughed! The plant below is a peace plant and I thought it was appropriate for the holidays. (And I know from experience they are hard to kill- low light and water once a week) It is quite large and I think I paid $9.99 for it. What do you think? Did I get ripped off?
